How To Play

Save The Moon is a space themed sim game. It plays over 1 year of game time, or 30 minutes of real time.

 Move mouse pointer to the edge of the screen to scroll.

 Use mouse wheel to zoom.

  Place new buildings on an empty discovered area of the map. 

 Spend resources to build buildings.

  Buildings generate resources. 

  Build the Laser to destroy the incoming comet.  

  Protect the laser until the end of 52 weeks.

Buildings

	Shelter	The game comes with 1 shelter. It is the essential life support. Protect it at all costs!
	Power Plant	The Power Plant generates power for the other buildings in the game. Make sure the supply >= demand.
	Ore Refinery	The Ore Refinery converts the moon ores and asteroid rocks into steel. Steel is needed to build other buildings.
	Shield Generator	The Shield Generator protects other buildings from asteroid hits. Build shield generators to protect important builds such as your shelter.
	Water Purifier	Water Purifier converts ice chunks brought by asteroids into water. Water is essential to survival.
	Laser	Build this and protect this building till the end of 52 weeks to win the game.

Vehicles

	Explorer Buggy	Comes with the shelter, explores the map. Brings back alien shards found on the map.
	Mining Truck	Comes with an ore refinery. Fetches moon ore and asteroid rocks.
	Ice Truck	Comes with the water purifier. Fetches asteroid ice chunks.

Resources

	Moon Ore	Abundant on the moon surface. Can be converted to steel.
	Asteroid Rocks	Deposited by asteroid strikes. Can be converted to steel.
	Ice Chunks	Deposited by asteroid strikes. Can be converted to water.
	Steel	Produced by ore refineries. Used for building stuff.
	Water	Produced by water refineries. Essential for survival.
	Electricity	Produced by power plants.
	Alien Shards	Used to power the laser

Tips and Tricks

 Start with 1 power plant and 2 refineries.

 Now turn your focus on building a water purifier. 

 Build a shield around your shelter.     

  1 Water Purifier is more than enough, assuming you build it on time.

Story

On March 9th, 2251, Dr Abaddon Trephor discovered that a comet strike would split the moon in half in exactly 100 years. The two halves would then make contact with Earth, causing Earth to explode. He tried to warn the people, but unfortunately he was ignored by the leaders of the Earth… until it was too late. 

99 years have passed since Trephor made his prediction, and now we can clearly see the comet (codenamed XORF-2261) making its way to the moon and will collide with it in exactly 12 months time.

As a last ditch effort, the leaders have sent you to the moon to build a defense station to blow up the comet in its path. If we’re lucky, we may be able to narrowly avoid this disaster and live to tell the tale.
